Dear Parents,
We hope you have all had a lovely week. We have had a super busy week in Year 3/4 and next week looks even busier! We have been working on multiplication - short method in Maths. It looks like this   552

Please continue to support your child with learning their times tables to rapid recall. In English we have been writing letters as if we are soldiers in the trenches in WW1. The children have written in a sympathetic and thoughtful manner. There was a fine line for these men in telling their mother's the watered down version versus the horrible reality.

As a Rights Respecting school, within the school community we expect everyone to treat each

other with respect. It is never acceptable for teachers or anyone to be the subject of any kind

EMERGENCY SERVICES CENOTAPH
On Friday 3rd December we will be taking part in the Unite The Uniforms campaign in honour of the millions of people who have served in the NHS and emergency services. Children are invited to come to school wearing the colours of the emergency services; red, blue, green or orange.  In class we will be thinking about how these people help us and why it is important to honour them.  We will make links to Children’s Rights and use our pupil voice to write letters of thanks, which we will send to our local services.  Suggested donation is £1, but please give as little or as much as you wish so that we can all join in the dressing up fun!  Donations will go towards building the UK’s first ‘Emergency Services Cenotaph’.

Must Do

• Reading: Remember 15-20 minutes everyday is super important. You will have taken your Reading Record home for your parents to comment on. These will be collected by teachers and checked from time to time.  Please make sure you leave your homework books at home for the time being. Your answers are at the back of your book so get a grown up to go through them with you 😃

• Accelerated Reader - when you are finished your book your teacher can change it for you. As soon as you are ready you can take a quiz at school. Remember that you need 3 100% scores to move up a level

• Times table practise - this week we are reviewing 1-6 times tables. Please practise these as we do in school.
