YEAR 3/4 CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
Next term we will be learning about three regions around the world, each with lakes. They are:
- The Lake District in Cumbria (UK)
- The Italian Lake District (Italy!)
- The Great Lakes (USA)
Over the holidays, try answering the following questions:
- What is a lake?
- Can you find out any interesting facts about lakes?
- How many lakes are there in each of the regions listed above? What are their names?
- What is the area like around these lakes? Can you find any images?
We would like to encourage you to use a ‘Google Doc’ and share this with your class teacher. Make sure when you share the document that you allow the teacher to edit the work so that they can write any appropriate notes at the bottom of your work. Of course you may use paper if access to a computer is difficult. You might like to visit a library to see what books they have on the subject.
In addition, we would really appreciate it if you could collect any brochures from travel agents that include holidays to the three regions mentioned above.
