This Week in Year 3/4...

Dear All
It was great to see the children come back from their holidays all refreshed and ready to engage in their learning! We have had a very busy week learning about a lot of things. In particular, we have enjoyed talking about the meaning behind Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday. The children were invited to give something up for Lent (if they wanted to) It might be interesting to ask them what they chose...

Parent Teacher Conferences are being held in the school hall on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd of March. Thank you for booking your appointment online. We can't wait to show you all the wonderful progress that the children have all been making.

Homework
Your child should have come home with a Maths Homework sheet to complete independently. This work was taught in class this week. Please see your child's maths teacher if their are any problems.
We would ask that your child continues to read daily and that you are reading with them. A note needs to be made when you have read with your child. This will boost your child's progress in all areas of school. Please also remember to practise your times tables - TTRS and Sumdog are 2 great websites!

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Hurley, Mr Greenfield, Miss Harvey

Happy Holidays!

Dear Parents

Thank you for a lovely half term and we wish you and your children a very happy half term break. Homework will consist of an item from the homework menu on The Shang Dynasty. Please encourage your child to keep up their reading, spellings and times tables.

Hopefully you will be able to get out for some fresh air and relaxation!

See you on Monday 24th February.

Assessment Week

Dear Parents
This week has been a very busy week in Year 3/4. The children all participated in some formal assessments. Because they have worked so hard we have decided to give the children a break from any formal homework task. We hope that you continue to read daily and to practise your times tables. Well done for all your hard work and wishing you a lovely weekend.
