Home Learning - Year 3/4

Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you are well and adapting to life at home. Please do feel free to ask for help if needed. You are doing a great job and we appreciate that you will not be able to complete all the work we have set so please just do what you can, when you can. I will give you an example of a timetable that you may find useful. Some people prefere structure whilst others don't. It's a personal choice!
This week's work is located in Google Drive. Here is the link
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YVADJ2bNy_ctK8i6gPe1NGelafStZzLV

You can also access this by logging on to your drive and checking what I have shared with you.

Below is the work that you can continue to complete if you wish.

Many thanks

Y3/4 Google Classroom

Dear Parents,

To make communication easier during this period, we have created a Google Classroom for all the children to use rather than their separate classrooms.Your children will have received an invite to join this classroom.
We will use this to create some tasks and some questions for the children to complete when possible. In addition to this, all the children will be able to communicate with each other through this as well.

If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us. Keep safe everyone.

Year 3/4 Home Learning Tasks

Home Learning - Year 3/4

Dear Parents and Carers,
We appreciate this must be a stressful time for you and your families. We have put together some educational activities to help continue your child’s learning from home. Feel free to complete these online or on paper. We will not be sending paper copies home at this stage as we are very aware of how much paper this would involve.
Please also check Google classroom for other activities. However, if you do require additional resources such as A3 paper, please don’t hesitate to ask.
On top of this, we have put together some folders for the children to access from this will be shared with each child when/if needed.

Many thanks

Year 3/4 Blog Post

Dear Parents and Carers,

Another busy week draws to a close at Down Hall Primary. The children have all worked really hard and have managed to remain calm and carry on as usual.

HOMEWORK
This week we would like the children to complete a GPS task on Google Forms. This should have been emailed to your child. Please see your class teacher if there are any issues.

CORONAVIRUS
Here is a link that the children may find useful. We have made sure that they are washing their hands more frequently. The children have become experts at singing 2 verses of "Happy Birthday!"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51698180
On top of this we would encourage you to keep your child away from school if they have any symptoms such as a high temperature or a persistent, dry cough. Please visit our school website for any updated information about this.

Wishing you a peaceful weekend and look after yourselves.

Year 3/4 2nd March- 6th March

Dear Parents

Another action packed week for us all in Year 3/4. It was lovely to see so many parents at the children's conference. Thank you for all your positive feedback. It is a pleasure to teach such a lovely group of children.

Homework
Your child should have come home with a reading comprehension based on their learning about the Willow Pattern. Can they please read and complete it ready to be handed in by Wednesday 11th March. Please ensure that on top of this that your child is reading every day for at least 10 minutes and as always, practising their times tables.
Thank you

World Book Day
On Thursday we met in our House Teams and the children were able to share their favourite book with their peers. It was lovely to see all of the children engaged in this book share. We have some excellent readers at Down Hall. The teachers were also given the chance to read to the children and commented on how great it was to be able to do this. Well done everyone.

Have a great weekend.

Mrs Hurley, Mr Greenfield and Miss Harvey
