YEAR 3/4 BLOG - Friday 28th January '22

Dear Parents,

We hope you've had a great week and also hope that you are all well! This week in Year 3/4 we have been continuing to draft and publish our creation stories and we aim to share these across all the 3 classes soon. In math's, we have been looking at area and perimeter. We were able to go outside; and using a variety of measuring tools, we were able to find the perimeter of different objects that contained a square or an oblong/rectangle.

PE - MONDAY

Could all children in OPAL and GARNET class please wear their PE kit to school on Monday? They will be taking part in some PE taster sessions. Tuesday will be normal PE for all of Year 3/4. Thanks

YEAR 3/4 BLOG - Friday 21st January '22

Dear Parents,

Happy Friday everybody! It has been a very busy beginning of the Spring Term in Year 3/4 - we have been continuing to write our creation stories to their conclusion in English. In Maths, we have been looking at length and area. Part of our lesson involved measuring our feet and using cm and mm to accurately do so. We also ordered and compared these measurements as seen in the photo below. The children came up with a thought provoking question. Does the tallest person always have the largest foot?

In Science, the children have begun growing some cress seed as part of an ongoing investigation. This photo marks day one of this task.

There are twenty-five questions and children have six seconds to answer each question and three seconds between questions. The questions are generated randomly using the same rules as the 'Multiplication Tables Check'
