Dear Parents,
We hope that you had a great week in the sunshine and are looking forward to a lovely weekend. It certainly is getting back to some form of normality with children's sport and leisure activities being able to resume so get out there and enjoy!
HOMEWORK
Thank you to all those children who completed and shared their homework this week. This week's homework can also be found on Google Classroom
Below is a list of things that we would like you to complete for your homework. You need to complete the Must Do tasks and if you would like to challenge yourself some more, than you can complete the Can Do tasks.
Must Do
1. Practise your times tables. Click on the link below.
https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/477/Multiplication-Tables-Check
2. Read every day for 20 minutes. Where is your favourite place to read.Take a photo and send it in to your teacher.
3. Do you help out at home? What sorts of chores do you do? Write them out or type the on to a Google Doc.
Can Do - Science Activity
In science, we have been looking at endangered animals and how their environment changes.
In your local area, choose a local habitat. It can be in a park, a field, the woods, your garden, etc. On the sheet or on paper draw a map of the local habitat and include any dangers that you can see.
On the next sheet, draw an idea (e.g. more bins?) that would help the local habitat and add a brief explanation of how it will help to protect local living things
Please can you also make sure that your child is reading for at least 15 minutes every night. If you have read all the books in you house the local libraries are now open!
NEXT WEEK
Looking ahead to our lessons next week, we will be looking at measurement in Maths. In particular we will be focusing in on length and and to measure and compare.
In English we are continuing to write our narrative story based on Moses. The children have worked really well on their stories and we can't wait to share them with all of the other children in our phase group!
Have a lovely weekend and see you Monday.
Kind regards,
Mrs Hurley, Mr Greenfield & Mrs Hurley
