Happy Friday to you all. We hope you have had a good week and are enjoying the return of warm weather.

Multiply Maths Programme
Are you someone who feels they need some support with maths? Perhaps your own experience in school wasn’t a good one. Well fear not, we have the solution to this!
Multiply courses are free and fully funded by Essex County Council as part of their Multiply Maths programme.
Each course is 10 guided learning hours, 6 hours face-to-face in school, 4 hours of activities to try in between sessions and ongoing. The ideal group size is between 8-12 parents per session.  The sessions will be taking place on 10th,17th and 24th May.
There is a link below for you to register your interest.

A £10 Amazon voucher will be awarded to each parent who completes the course.

Must Do
Reading: Remember 15-20 minutes everyday is super important. Make sure you are reading and recording what you read in your reading record. These will be collected by teachers and checked regularly. Please bring your homework books back to school when you have finished so that we can check them. Thank you.
Accelerated Reader - when you have finished your book you can take a quiz at school. Remember that you need 3 100% scores to move up a level
Times table practice - Please log on to TTRS and complete your challenges.
Can Do
Continue logging on to TTRSS and Sumdog-  your logins are stuck in the front cover of your Reading Records.
Math's - Year 4 will be completing their statutory Multiplication Tables Check in June this year. To this end, please can you ensure your child is regularly accessing and practicing these at: https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/477/Multiplication-Tables-Check
Newspapers
As we have started our work on Newspaper reports this week, it would be great for the children to read some newspaper reports over the weekend. Can they summarise what they have read about and put it into a short paragraph?

Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Hurley, Mr. Greenfield & Miss Harvey
