Year 3/4 Blog - Looking ahead to next week...

Dear Parents,

We hope you are all keeping well and managing to keep safe and calm.

A reminder about us wanting to receive an email or comment on Google Classroom from you all this week.

Thank you to you all for sharing all of your hard work and excellent efforts in this week's learning tasks. We appreciate you taking the time to share it either via our email address or on Google Classroom. Please let us know how you have found the home learning, tell us what you have done (add a photo if you want to) and, most importantly, if you are all ok. We will be making welfare phone calls to anyone we have not heard from next Monday so please take a minute to drop us an email to the address below:

OVERVIEW FOR NEXT WEEK

Next week we will be continuing our maths topic of Multiplication and Division. We will be writing our Gladiator story in English. GPS will be a mixture of Oak Academy lessons and teacher directed tasks. Handwriting will be continued in the same way as this week. Reading will be comprehension tasks and we also need you to be logging into MyOn and reading your own books for atleast 30 minutes every day. Our Project work will be a mixture of RE - Sikhism, Science - Animals, Project/DT - Romans, PE - Joe Wicks or getting out with your fmaily for some daily exercise is super important to your well-being.

Work will continue be uploaded to Google Classroom each morning - it is scheduled for 7.30am.

You will have a variety of tasks to complete. These tasks are broadly in line with what the children would have been learning had we all been in school this term.

Please make sure that you are also logging on to TTRS, Sumdog and MyOn.

Remember, your teachers will be monitoring Google Classroom and their emails, so if you need any help, just ask.

We hope you are all well and we are looking forward to seeing you all soon. Have a great weekend!

IMPORTANT EXTRA INFORMATION

BBC EDUCATION

The BBC has confirmed that it will air educational programming as the country goes back into lockdown and many parents start to home school their children. The move means that parents across the country are now juggling their own jobs with making sure their children continue to learn and, as well as fitness guru Joe Wicks announcing that he's bringing his hugely popular workouts back, the BBC will do their bit to help out with a extensive educational TV schedule across a number of channels.Starting on Monday, the lessons will include three hours of primary school programming every weekday on CBBC, and at least two hours for secondary pupils on BBC Two.

The primary programmes, which will be broadcast on CBBC from 9am every day, will include BBC Live Lessons and BBC Bitesize Daily as well as Our School, Celebrity Supply Teacher, Horrible Histories and Operation Ouch.

We will be keeping our eyes out on how we can use this incredible resource to enhance our remote learning offer!

DIRECTING HOME LEARNING

As the lockdown takes hold once more, we would like to assist your school by offering a free support course to share with parents and guardians. The content of this course covers tips and tricks for parents to direct, inspire and feel in control of a child's learning at home. Feel free to browse the video titles on the dedicated webpage:
